CIVIS Win!

The documentary The Cemetery of the Illegals (WDR) wins European CIVIS Television Prize

civis nomination

What the CIVIS Jury said:  – Andreas Morell documents with impressive images the difficulties and the misery of the people who want to cross the border from Istanbul into Europe – to a new, better life, emigrants, human traffickers, frontier guards and residents of the border villages have their say and describe their views. The documentary handles in great detail one of the most important political, but also human, challenges of Europe. A first-class piece of research – dramatically and cinematically outstanding.
